Rash under brests.. Please help!

Hi, I am a 27 year old female. I am very large chested and occasionally I do get heat rashes under my breasts.. Usually I just treat it with some powder, keep the area clean and dry as possible and within a few day's it goes away. Here lately, the rash underneath my right breast has increasingly gotten worse.. It is itching, and the skin is peeling, and it's bright red and it is so intense that it look's like it's scarring my skin..The parts that are healing, are turning a brownish color... Not to mention is has aquired this very weird smell. I hate to say this please excuse me, but it smell
as if someone ejaculated on my breast.... What could this be ? I am trying antibiotic tonight to see if that helps but does anyone know what this could be ? Please, any advice would be great....

Hello,
The symptoms are suggestive of intertrigo. An intertrigo is an inflammation (rash) of the body folds. It most commonly occurs due to bacterial, viral or fungal infection. An intertrigo usually appears red and raw-looking, and may also itch, ooze, and be sore.

Please keep the area clean and apply some topical antiseptics. Also wear loose-fitting cotton clothing and use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove. Avoid any kind of cosmetics. Topical zinc oxide cream like Sudocrem, Desitin are very helpful(apply with a paper towel and not directly with hands).Application of mild steroid cream like Dermacort also helps. For the itching pls take some over the counter antihistaminic like Benadryl or Claritin. In case the symptoms persist then antifungals may be needed. Please consult a dermatologist in that case.

I hope that helps. Please do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional queries. Kind regards.

Hi!  Have you used  AVEENO® Baby Diaper Rash Cream before for this?  I used it and found it to work for me.  Keeping the area dry helps too.  The trick is to catch it when it is starting to maintain it.  It costs but to me it was worth it.
