Red patch

I have a red patch on the tip of my penis. It burns most of the time and sometimes it feels like my entire genital area is burning. I have also had some difficulty urinating and my urine burns. I have tried a number of topicals on it, including for a while, triple antibiotic ointment, I later switched to cortisone, which burned worse and then lotrimin. I went to a urologist last week, he says he sees nothing. I can definitely see the red patch. He says, it might be something, but whatever it is, it isn't serious. He suggested I try some monistat, but that just made it burn and after two days, I stopped. I have decided to leave it alone and soak in salt water alternating with oatmeal baths. It feels better today, but this has been going on for over a month and it is driving me crazy. Any suggestions?

You have to fill out the form in the doctors section. They charge $19.00

My guess is irritation that you should just leave alone for a while. Maybe some mild moisturizer. I have had similar problems in the past.
The urine burning might be a sign of yeast. which might need a prescription for diflucan. For now cut out all sugar and take some pro biotics to naturalize your digestive system.
If you have had unprotected sex, that changes things. But I assume you would have mentioned that.
