Removing hair from penis shaft?

Hello, I'm 30 and I don't have much sex because I'm worried about the amount of hair on my penis. It's about 7 inches erect with pubic hair that grows up the first 4 inches along the sides. I would really like to know of some good treatment options, as it is not easy to shave and painful to wax. And what are the costs of the treatments?

I don't know much about hair removal in that area- however, I think it's good to remember that everyone is unique- those features anywhere on your body, that you are self conscious about, are just parts of what makes you- you, and you shouldn't need to change who you are to impress someone.  That said, personal grooming preferences are ok to work out too.  It's possible a doctor might have some more permanent solutions- laser hair removal or something- I'm not sure if that is a safe area for them to do that in, but if it's important, it doesn't hurt to ask.
