Tattoo-Rash w/tiny, clustered clear bumps around tattoo

I got my 7th tattoo about 6 days ago on Sat. I was using aquaphor over my tattoo which I have aways used for the first few days after a tattoo.  Well Sunday late afternoon I noticed a few tiny clear bumps around the boarder of the tattoo which basically covers most of my inner forearm.  So I stopped using the aquaphor and just left the tattoo dry.  The bumps multiplied to where they were tightly packed clusters of tiny clear bumps with redness surrounding the boarder of my tattoo.  I went to the Dermatologist on Wed. and she prescribed Fluocinonide Ointment for me to use twice a day.  I applied my first application thursday late afternoon and this morning when I woke up I could definitely see and feel some improvement in the areas that were affected when I initially saw the Dr. which was about a half in wide boarder around my tattoo.  However, while the affected areas show some improvement, it seems that the redness and rash has spread out beyond the intitial affected area to where it covers almost half my arm!  Is this how the fluocinonide works?  Does it get worse before it gets better?  I called my Dr.'s office this morning and spoke to the nurse and she said that it could just be the nature of the rash and to continue using the FLuocinonide twice a day and to also put lotion over top.  I am using frangrance-free Eucerine.  I am just confused...I don't know what to do.  Any thoughts or suggestions?  Thanks!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
You need to get it re evaluated from your dermatologist as the spreading redness can be either due to an allergic reaction to the cream of there is infection of the skin underlying skin of the tattoo. In that case you may need oral antibiotics.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
