stinging bump on inner elbow

Three days ago, I started feeling a stinging sensation on my inner elbow--right at the bend of the elbow.  Now, I've noticed a bump--almost like when a phlebotomist slaps the inner elbow to check for a vein.  The stinging can be intense at times; there's no redness or heat.  Could this be a blood clot?  Should I be concerned and call my doctor?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL

Hello,
This bump can be due to insect bite or irritant contact dermatitis.Take some antihistaminic like Benadryl or Claritin and apply mild steroid cream and calamine lotion on the rash.If the symptoms persist then pls consult a dermatologist as oral steroids may be needed.
I hope that helps. Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional doubts.Kind regards.
