hives turn into pimples?

yesterday i had a sudden allergic reaction where my face, chest and arms were covered in itchy hives, most of which were very hot to the touch. there was no apparent trigger. i took two benedryl and the hives began to subside, but today i have pimple-like, painful red spots where several of the biggest hives were. why did my hives turn into these? it's extrememly painful and embarrassing all over my face and arms....

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Did you scratch the area where you had hives as it can lead to secondary infection with bacteria and hence cause cellulitis skin. Otherwise urticarial vasculitis also needs to be ruled out. My sincere suggestion is to get an examination done from a dermatologist at the earliest.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

You should consult a doctor since this could well be an  urticarial vasculitis. You  need to be observed and investigated if this persists.Since you have no other symptoms, it should settle but make sure. ok?
