ilven treatment

My 7 week old daughter has Ilven all along the left side of her body. I have been reading that some people have had pulsed co2 laser and I was wondering what the danger of this is and if their is a certain age that a person needs to be to get the treatment.

Noone in my fAmily has it. The pulse dye laser helps with itching I have many prescriptions that help with additional itching and any staff bacteria that cause additional irritation. When I get home ill send some more info tto you. Hope this helps.

We have been to a dematologist since and they recommended we wait until she is 3 or 4. What do you mean the pdl kept it under control. Does it take it away or does it help with the iching ? We use AM Lactin daily and it seems to help but the ilven is still there, just not as high. I hope someday they find a cure, but because it is in her DNA makeup it is hard to say. Does anyone in your family have it ? Thank you for any info you can give me.

I wouldn't do co2 laser on a baby, im 22 and i have had it done a couple of times over the years, for me this treatment didn't work it kept growing back. The actual treatment wasn't too bad pain wise, but it got infected, and takes a long time to heal in my case. I use a PDL pulsed dye laser to keep it under control and have been since i  was a little girl i remember my parent taking me in every 6 weeks when i was 4-6 years old and have been going ever since. The technology has changed so much in 20 years, however my parents waited till i was older and then ended up stopping for a couple of year because at the time it was very painful and they couldn't put me through it. Now it doesnt hurt me at all, but they have numbing creams that i would recommend looking in to PDL until your baby gets older.I personally have seen kids being brought in but i cant say ive seen treatments on a baby but they might do it i dont know about that.
