Hi Parry,
I posted back in December about trying a cervical alignment pillow (for your cervical spine) it helped the itching but wasn't very comfortable when I slept on my side. Now I just have a very flat pillow and the itching is completely gone. I thought it would be good to come back to the site and let everyone know that getting a flat pillow or even no pillow is magic and for 4 months I have been completely itch free. I took no medicine or cream and my condition was so bad that I had scabs up and down my arms. I am ecstatic that it is gone and I can sleep!!!

STARTING WEEK 3 AND VICKS IS STILL WORKING. i AM SO GRATEFUL TO HAVE READ ON THIS BLOG, TO TRY VICKS. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME IN 3 YEARS I HAVE HAD A NEAR NORMAL LIFE.
I MAY NEED A LITTLE ICE AT NIGHT, THE VICKS GETS WIPED OFF ON THE BED SHEETS. ALL THE DOCTORS AND ALL THE TESTS AND VICKS IS THE ONLY THING THAT WORKS AND IT WORKS GREAT. I PALN TO SEND A NOTE TO ALL THE DOCTORS THAT VICKS WORKS.
I still don't have a real diagnoses after almost 3 years !
Has anyone researched "Small Fiber Peripheral Neuropathy ?
Do any of you smoke ?
I have been using VICKS MENTHOL OINTMENT and I finally have relief from the nasty painful itch !!!!!
I smell like menthol but who cares, at least I can have a more normal life, for the first time in almost 3 years. Even the generic brand works fine, not expensive.
I printed all of your posts and read each one. I made note of anything that helped anybody. So far Vicks is the only relief I have found. I do take a ice pack to bed but often I don't need it. I hope this helps others and many thanks for helping me. I
i just found this website, and wanted to leave a brief comment....I think I may have this problem....but have not been diagnosed. I have found that I have flair-ups when I have anything with Aspartamine (nutrasweet) - I can no longer have diet pop or gum......has anyone else noticed a connection?
