itchy bumps

I have red bumps mostly on my arms that are very itchy especially at night but I don't know if that is because i think about it in bed and get more itchy. I have had this for over two weeks now. Mainly on my lower arms. I went to my doctor who thought it may be an allergic reaction to something in the air since its mainly on lower arms which are the areas of skin I usually have exposed. Doctor gave me prednisone and cortizone cream. Prednisone made it not itch but still visible. Now I have been off medicine for almost a week and rash/bumps look just as bad and still itch sometimes. Mainly on hands and lower arms but some on back, knees, back of neck, and pubic area too. I think when I get nervous it gets worse.

Thanks for your help. Turned out to be guttate psorisis and the doctor prescribed augmentin and clobex spray. I'm on day six of ten now and the bumps are drying up.

I can't get an appointment with any dermatologist for about a month. Is there a way for me to upload a photo?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi there!
There could be any allergy, infection or inflammation which could be giving rise to these symptoms. I cannot confirm anything without examination but it could be due to allergic dermatitis, contact dermatitis or scabies. Try applying calamine locally for relief in symptoms. It is best to consult a dermatologist and get these rashes seen. Discuss all your concerns. Keep us updated.
Take care and regards!
