Hello!
I have the same condition. My bumps are extreamly irritating and i find myseld picking at them trying to release some tension. I feel like theyre little pimples all over my arms and i cant stop picking them. Even when i try i have to constant urge because of the irritation. The chicken skin has spread to my legs and is starting to spread up my back. Is there any way i can stop it in its tracks? Make the irritation go away? I have tried creams but because i pick, it leaves open soars and becomes very paiful.

Hello,
Keratosis pilaris is a common genetic follicular condition that is manifested by the appearance of rough bumps on the skin like goose bumps and hence colloquially referred to as "chicken skin". Keratosis pilaris occurs when the human body produces excess keratin, a natural protein in the skin.I have not seen a case where keratosis pilaris presents with itchy bumps.

If you are having any such symptoms, then the possibility of pompholyx or dyshidrotic eczema has to be probed.I would suggest a dermatologist’s consultation on this.

I hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional doubts.Kind regards.
