thankyou for the quick response, information and guidence.
i am not sure Dermographism is exactly what i have, because it does not appear very often and i do a lot of physical activity that puts pressure on different parts of my body and i do not get the same reaction. perhaps it is just a very mild form of it. the 'cuts' tend to be no more then 1cm long and look like i have been nicked with a razor, they dont swell.
i do also get small circles of red dry skin, that look like ring worm but are what i think is called 'roseura'. they generally appear in the same place each time, thay dont itch very much and go after a few weeks. i dont know if these two things can be related.
is there anything else it could be, or could it be symptoms of anything else?
regards
Hi,
You could be suffering from a condition called Dermographism.
'Patients with simple dermographism are asymptomatic and require no therapy. Recognition of the problem, avoidance of precipitating physical stimuli, reduction of stress and anxiety are important factors in medical care. Also, scratching because of dry skin can be reduced with good skin care and emollients. H1 antihistamines are the drugs of choice.'
You could read about the condition at the following links -

You should read this and let us know if you need any further information.
