we've had it for months now
and i live with my mom and NO ONE else has it and i'm around 10 people or more who come in and out
i'm not sure what he comes in contact to at his real dad's house

There is no way this is eczema. eczema is not contagious and is extremely unlikely if not impossible to happen to people exactly at the same time.
All dermatologist say eczema. They are to lazy or stupid to do their job.
more then likely it's scabies, unless someone was playing in poison ivy.

If I have this right.. you, your husband and 3 yr. old all have this same rash, red, itchy and is scabbing from scratching so much.
I have a few questions before I can attempt in helping.
Where was your son? Coming home from where?
Was he in contact with other children, dogs, cats or anyone else who is also itching?
Do you have pets in your home?
Does this rash have any pattern?
Have you changed soap, laundry detergent, used carpet fresh or any thing like that?
I'm trying to think of anything that can effect all three of you.

When I read both your post, my first thought was scabies, a tiny mite that burrows under the skin. Causing intense itching that is worse at night and scabbing because it's so itchy.
The incubation period (time from infestation until itching begins) is about 1 month, with a range of 2-6 weeks.  In patients who have been exposed to the mite before ( prior episodes of scabies), itching can begin within 48-72 hours after infestation. But if you had this before you wouldn't forget it.
Please if you can send answers to above questions I can possibly be of more help.
Take Care

Hello,

I cannot confirm anything without examination but it can be eczema, contact dermatitis or hives.

Eczema is a form of chronic dermatitis (rash).Allergic reaction is one of the important causes of eczema. Wash the areas several times with fresh water. Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites. He can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin.He can take some OTC oral antihistamine medications like Benadryl or Claritinfor the itching.

For mild-moderate symptoms a weak steroid may be used (e.g. hydrocortisone as dermacort), whilst more severe cases require a higher-potency steroid (e.g. clobetasol propionate, fluocinonide).

Symptoms can be exacerbated by dryness of the skin. Use good quality moisturizers to prevent moisture loss from the skin.

If still the symptoms do not improve then pls get a clinical examination done by a dermatologist.Fungal infections have to be ruled out then.

Hope it helps. Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional queries.Kind regards.
