anyone else sick of doctors that refuse to treat you in an er?

I was in such sever pain the other day I went to the VA hospital ER after taking 20 mg of oxycodone without it even touching the pain. The doctor was rude and asked "what do you want ME to do?" when I went in for help.I ended up going home and taking another 40 mg of oxycodone and ended up overdosing and landing myself on the psych unit for an overdose, not becauseI was trying to commit suicide but trying to stop the pain. All I wanted was to see the GYN and have them do tests. I stayed in all that pain for 3 days and stil no tests have been done. I have to wait til the 31st to see the GYN and then even longer for the pelvic ultrasound they said I needed while on the unit. Some days I feel like I am dying and not one physician has done anything more then say....you need to go see another MD. I have no other insurance to go anywhere else. I am so frustrated. I have no one here I can talk to. I feel so alone in this. I am losing my mind. When the pain hits it feels like someone shoved a baseball bat up my vagina and beat the hell out of my pelvic area. It is so embarrassing to have to admit that even my vagina hurts so bad I can't sit down. I honestly don't know how much more I can suffer like this. I am not suicidial I want relief from the pain. My weight is now down to 120 lbs. I have anorexia. Can anyone offer any advice? Please I need a friend. Cate in Hawaii

Also, don't go on a plane just in case you have a cyst.

Can you go to another ER? Demand an ultrasound right away. I went to the ER because I was smacked in the stomach by a tray at work and the pain wouldn't leave. They only did a CT scan of my abdomen, but not my reproductive system. I specifically asked them if I had any cysts, and they said no. But turns out they never actually looked. JERKS. Guess what? A month later I had an ultrasound and I have 2 cysts on my right ovary that are big enough where I need surgery to have them removed. I'm seeing a doctor out of a private clinic who is ready to do my surgery as soon as possible. Don't give up!

Hi. I am really sorry for you pain. I think maybe reaching the office that takes claims from patients can help, not sure how the system works where you live, but I think most states if not all, have a state office that help patients when they have problems or their rights as a patient has been violated. I can't beleive they didn't even try to help you...it is very frustrating. ;o(
I am really sorry for what you are going thru, I hope you are able to find a doctor that will help you and who you will be able to reach in case of an emergency.

You need to go get a lawyer.  They can't make you wait that long.  Call your clinic and explain to them the problem.  If it's serious keep calling and harassing them. ga
I got treated in the ER because I had ruptured cysts, and I was literally dying.  They gave me a CT found the cysts, put me down for emergency surgery, made me spend the night, and then gave me an ultra sound and gave me the surgery.
