Unfortunately out of 152,000 obygyn's only 100 in the USA are qualified enough to handle endometriosis and in other countries even less qualified Dr's are available so you will most likely have to travel to find one but it is worth it!
It doesn't grow back this is just the surgeon did not remove all of the disease think of it like a plantars wart in the foot...the roots grow deep while the appearance on the outside is a small bump but it gets so bad you can hardly walk until it is completely cut out...basically excision specialists will cut beyond the implant to healthy tissue ensuring it has all been removed more like an oncologist would do with cancer.
I did send you a private message but just to start you off in order to find a qualified endometriosis excision specialist you need to ask them what they will do if they find it on the colon, bladder, ureter, diaphragm...if they leave it, want to put you on drugs like lupron, the pill, danzol or the slew of other new drugs they can thing of to ruin our health or say it can't be removed or say (like your dr) it will come back. or say get pregnant or say remove your female organs they are not specialists. So keep looking for a specialist and don't let someone unqualified treat this disease!
With early diagnosis and excision the cure rate is 85% or better...the specialists have proven this over and over. The average time an obygyn spends learning about endo in med school is 15 min...so they have not clue...Unfortunately us endo gals who have had the inappropriate treatments and are now decades in understand and know more about our disease then most Dr.s!
Unfortunately no there are no natural therapies to get rid of endometriosis as I have tried them all in my 25+ years of dealing with this disease and it's aftermath from not being managed by a specialist until way late in the disease. That being said though it is good to take on a healthy lifestyle with clean eating and taking care of yourself, but to beat this disease it really does need to be cut out from the root! So your best chance at fully beating this disease is to see an endometriosis excision specialist.
unfortunately this is a very common issue for us endo gals...not being believed because we look ok on the outsider while our insides are being destroyed...hopefully things will shift more quickly now that the shift has begun...No medications do not effectively treat endo...they may help with the pain but with some potentially horrible side affects...so way this carefully!
I would get my records to the endometriosis specialist and see if I could get the diagnostic lap from them so they can also do excision at the same time this will help prevent multiple surgeries which trust me you want to do...get to the best as soon as possible and don't allow your body to be a human experiment like many of us before you have had to do...good luck and if you have any questions please feel free to ask...let me know how you're doing!
Thank you for replying. That is a good idea. I will try and see an ENT for other possible explanations. I have not seen a specialist. Have you found that medications are not really effective? I am actually having a lap soon to confirm endometriosis. And then begin treatment. I've been in pain for over a year; and many times felt like no one believed me. My guess is this is a normal experience endometriosis patients have. Anyways thank you again:)
endometriosis is a disease that causes inflammation so it affects everything...it could also be other things so I would suggest getting checked out by your Dr. for other causes.
Have you been to an endometriosis excision specialist? That is always the best place to start in getting the proper care with this horrible disease!
