Post surgery questions laparscopy

Hey guys,
On Friday last week, the 15th march, I had a laparoscopy done to see whether I had endometriosis, now the surgery went well and I'm almost at a week so slowly getting better. My question is how many incisions have others had from
The surgery! I have the normal four, navel, both sides and then the pubic line, which I've seen others with, but when
I got home Friday I also noticed that on my left thigh there was a waterproof dressing! Now today I removes it as I didn't think it was anything, but there was a small incision underneath! I can't think of any possible reason for this!
Has anyone else had this happen or can offer an explanation?? Thanks heaps !

Me too that sounds odd.

Tamara I also sent you a note saying to do the same. I would find out why...Demand to know why because I have never heard of that either

I will for sure. Sometimes people don't come on at certain times and they respond hours or days later but I will keep you posted if I hear anything :)

Thanks so much for your responses! So strange! Hahah well I would love to call the office, but it was done as a public patient, so I think I have to wait until I go to my gyno for a follow up and then there will be the full report which will hopefully say why! I was thinking maybe they needed to get to something from there are well, but that being said, the area around is is
Not sore what so ever like the others. Thankyou guys so much and let me know if any other explanations come about! And I'll keep yous posted!
Thanks again

I wonder if you got an injury while you were out ( under anesthesia) and they covered it with tegaderm. The only other thing I can think of would be a grounding pad they put on you during some surgeries but that still wouldn't explain an incision. I would certainly call the office.

Here are two responses I got so far from women who have also had laps for Endo.

"wow never heard of this ..."

" Laps are weird - they go in wherever. It took me a week to realize my big incision wasn't over my appendix, but on the left"

I have had two laparoscopies and never had an incision on my thigh. I would call your doctor and find out what that's all about. I hope you are feeling ok otherwise.

hmmm that is a good question. I am wondering if they had to go in that way for a reason. I have had 3 and I have had 4 in the normal areas. I am going to tweet my fellow Endosisters and see if they have an answer to this as I would like to know as well.
