I am sort of freaking out...For the last few years, my doctor has suspected endo but I have never had the lapro (?) surgery to confirm it. I have 1 little boy who I did not have problems conceiving but I have always had super irregular cycles, kidney pain during my periods and rectal bleeding during my periods, which I know can be signs of endo.
Well, this morning I woke up and had HORRIBLE stabbing pain in my pelvic area. I went to the ER and they are fairly confident that I had an ovarian cyst that ruptured. The ultrasound showed fluid but it was difficult to see my left ovary. They said there was a "growth" near/on my left ovary that could be one of several things...
At first they thought it was in my fallopian tube and it was an ectopic pregnancy, but it was confirmed that it was not that. So they said it could be one of a few things...
Either the remainder of or a different cyst
Endometrioma (caused by endometriosis, basically the tissue growing up on ovary)
or a tumor
I am freaking out thinking it could be a tumor and I won't know anything until I get in with my gyn. I feel pretty confident that I do have endo, which would make sense for the endometrioma, but I always thought it was very difficult to see on an ultrasound (it was trans-vaginal).
Any words of advice, encouragement or experience?
