Too many things going on at once

Not sure what to do, I am fifty, perimenopausal, Dr says I have complex ovarian cysts and endometriosis, (also two types of bladder problems going on) Dr says that I also tested positive for the MTHFR gene which makes me high risk for not surviving a hysterectomy, says if I do survive, I would have to go to a nursing care facility, also told me that she cannot say that I do not have ovarian cancer, ca-125 was normal, she says I have alot going on, put me on pill for bladder, wants me to start injections in stomach for six months for endometriosis, also have to take buffered aspirin every day and b complex vitamin, I feel between a rock and a hard place, my gut says get a complete hysterectomy and then I won't have to worry about ovarian cancer but now i'm afraid, what if I have early ovarian cancer and don't have the operation, I would die, have the operation, at high risk to die, what do I do, anyone have any suggestions? I think even Dr was overwhelmed with all that is going on, I don't know what to do.

If your doctor is not a reproductive endocrinologist, get a second opinion from one, endo is their specialty. You can go to the endometriosis association website at http://www.endometriosisassn.org/ and then get their contact number to call them and find a good reproductive endocrinologist near you.

I see this was written a while ago but I will comment anyways.

I am sorry that you are going through all of this.

I am 33 and was diagnosed with Stage IV endometriosis, I had a complex ovarian cyst, an endometrioma, and a rectovaginal cyst as well. When they went in the reason that the cyst was showing up as complex I think was because they couldnt find my ovaries and my CT scan and ultrasound scans missed that my ovaries and tubes were wrapped around my uterus making it look like a 10cm cyst.

My CA-125 was 78 but that also shows I had inflammation in abdominal cavity.

I would however get a second opinion to see if a lap can be done to explore. I wouldnt take the stomach injections, but that is just me.  If they havent diagnosed you officially (which can only be done by lap) then they can say for sure if you have it and you are injecting yourself with poison. Well thats what i call that crap lol..

Why are you on Aspirin daily?

I would think twice about the hysterectomy before you do it.  Research the pros and cons. You already have a big con (MTHFR)

Anyway if you need someone to talk to or ask questions I am here :)  I research alot lol
