First of all if there was a surgical solution no nation could afford it because after age 50 over 50% of people have them after 70 its 70%. No medical treatment exists but worthless drops are sold in "natural' stores. Laser breakup has been tried for 30 years and is very low success and involves significant expense and risks. Removing the water/gel material (vitreous) from the back of the eye (called a floater only vitrectomy) is even more expensive and has even more risks. I don't recommend this to patients. I have a huge Weiss Ring in my right eye and over the years I have learned to ignore it. 95% of people can do that also its called 'neuroadaptation". So better off living with it than taking a chance on losing your eye with vitrectomy or still seeing floaters.
