We want YOU! Take this quick eye test for us - do you see the haze?

A few of us have a long running thread regarding a strange occurance with our eye sight. http://tinyurl.com/9z9fsxm

What happens is when we look in certain lights we see a large hazy cloud pass across our vision. Now we are unsure what to think of these. They may be floaters but they are the strangest kind we have ever experienced.

So this is what we want you to do.

Step 1: Go to a dark room and take your laptop with you (if no laptop, use a TV screen or look outside a bright window in a darkened room)
Step 2: Turn the laptop on and get a white screen up of some sort (a blank Word page is fine)
Step 3: Focus on the right side of the screen. Then move your eyes to the other side of the screen. Then back, and forth a few times (try different speeds and angles).

Do you see a haze move across your vision? Is it white or dark? Does it move with the direction of your eyes or opposite?

Many thanks from Sas, TVTipp and myself.

I have this same thing.  Started about 6 weeks ago.  When I move my eyes, I see a haze with grey specks in it.  It moves with the direction of my eyes.  It came on during a stressful point in my life (I've been concerned about some neurological symptoms - very slight numbness in parts of my legs/arms, some stabbing pain, etc).  I went to an opthamologist when it first started and he dilated my eyes and said I was fine.  I saw a neurologist a week ago and he did the usual strength and sensory tests, looked into my eyes and said I am probably fine, but ordered an MRI just in case.  The MRI is this Friday and then I go back to the neuro for a consult in December.  I hate the waiting.  Did you ever figure anything out Cloudburster?

So let us know! I have a neuro booked in 4 weeks time, although I doubt there is much more she can do.

It moves when I move my eyes... It isn't visible unless I move my eye, it's easier to see in some lights than others. It is in both eyes, though larger and more acute in my right eye. Neuro appointment tomorrow.... hoping to find out what it is... because it's driving me nutz.

Which one of you didn't vote? lol

Wow, this is interesting news alright! Thanks for coming in you two.

Thanks Kaede for the site you mentioned, however your post may be edited as I found out, its not allowed on here :(

SO... tell us more you both, how long have you had it? Is it in both eyes? Is it only in certain lights or do you see it all the time? When you stop moving your eyes does the blurry spot disappear? Does it stop EXACTLY at the same time as your eyes do or does it move just a little bit on afterwards?
