eye floaters ophthalmologist cant see

Hi all, 2-3 months ago i noticed my vision was getting blurry. then last week i had noticed eye floaters in my left eye. got scared because i know this can be a sign of diabetes so i went to an ophthalmologist today.. he did a number of tests inclduing the dilated exam but said that everything is fine and he cant see the floaters i was talking about andthat i had no sign of diabetic retinopathy.. i justwonder if there are other causes for it to appear? I am only 21yo and he seems surprised to that i have floaters at my age...

Hi,

Floaters are not abnormal at any age, though their frequency can increase with age.  It appears you have very few anyway, as the Dr could not find them at today's exam.  Don't worry about them.

It is good that the dr said everything is fine.  I think you should trust his opinion in this case.

Please work on your overall health and anxiety.  When you are feeling anxious about your health maybe you can do something productive like taking a walk, etc so you can stop thinking about it.
