eye damage by a film projector.

Hi Doc,i am from india and i purposefully stood infront of a film projector in a movie hall.it was a very small movie hall and i was at the last row very close to the film projector.the projection straight in my eye and my friends challenged me to stay there for 5 mins.my left eye is getting watery and blinky and i can also sense increase in my floaters.kindly help.thanks.

Sir please tell me is it true that the peripheral vision is the one that can get effected in this case and not the retina cause it kinda self protects itself.Sir,also please guide me when does it become extremely essential to go the doc.after having serious problems or as a preventive measure also.is there some medicine that can reverse the damage caused by the medicine even if it is miniscule damage.this is my last query on this issue.thanks.kindly help.

No way that the light could cause an increase of floaters. I think you are just becoming aware of floaters that your eye had "tuned out" because you're covering one eye then the other and looking for things.

It's not likely you've done any permanent damage but still see an eye MD to be sure you do not have light damage to the macula. And grow up and stop doing stupid dares.
