is there a cure for congential ptosis ?

My Grandaughter had delayed visual maturation for first 4 months.
Now at 6 months She has now been diagnosed with  congenital Ptosis - involving 3rd nerve.
The doctor does not seem to be too concerned and says - "lets wait and see".
Will this condition correct itself  or  could there be a need for surgery later.

She does see well -  and can move her eyes from sided to side - but not up and down and tends
to tilt her chin upwards when held in an upright position.

Please have her see a pediatric ophthalmologist.  The congenital ptosis is the least of her problems.
