There's a floater that appears in my vision every time I look left and then forward

This has been going on for about a year. The dot appears every time I look all the way to left and then forward again. Sometimes it is a dark dot and sometimes it's lighter. It floats away when I try to focus on it like a typical floater. Is this just a normal floater or could it be the sign of something more serious? It concerns me that it happens every time I look to the left. The dot floats away within a few seconds and never stays in my vision.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
There are many posts on this forum about floaters and on my home page there are several articles about them. You need to see an ophthalmologist to have a medical eye exam and dilated retina exam. That is the only way to tell if it is the common not serious type or a sign of something serious.
