seeing flashing dots in vision

Does anyone know of anyone else who has flashing dots in their vision, When I was a teen and also in my 20's
I had bad episodes of this happening and no doctor could ever understand what I was reall was talking about.
They would say it was uveitis but that did not match what was happining to me. It's like you see fireworks going off
in your vision all the time, even when you close your eyes.

My daughter who is 10 now has had this problem since she was 3 and her child opth. just says that kids
can't talk about what is going on.

This is a very scary and confusing and could never get any type of diagnosis from any doctor.
I don't think many people have this but is very real, This is not floaters that I'm talking about.
I also developed floaters after having this in my teens, And it is not what I'm talking about.

I know this is 10 years later but i have been searching for someone with my exact phenomenon  and this is exactly what I have. I have colorful tiny almost microscopic looking orbs flying around in my vision since I was a child. No doctor or eye specialist not even a neurologist could tell me what was going on. Its crazy but it seems that this is very rare and there is no explanation for what we see, just that were very special i guess

It's called the Blue Field Effect or the "Flying Corpuscle" phenomenon.  It is normal, it's the blood cells circulating around your macula. Not everyone can see them. Read the section on "entoptic phenomena" in  Widipedia.  Move on. No mystery. I have them also.
