visual disturbances as a side effect of general anaesthesia

I've had my bottom wisdom teeth removed under general anaesthesia nearly two years ago. My eyes got supersensitive to daylight the next day and I started to notice floaters. Couple of days later visual snow, shaky vision,  afterimages, trouble seeing movement, halos, starbursts, flashes of light, dry eyes, recurrent episcleritis, trails and of course tinnitus. Last year I was diagnosed with Neuroboreliosis and received two treatments already .... both made my visual disturbances more intense. I saw a neuro-ophthalmologist last week who thinks that all my visual problems are actually a very rare side effect of general anaesthesia ... is that possible?

I received the report from the neuro-ophthalmologist which says, that apart from visual problems I also have vestibular disturbance on the right side with a balance disorder with visual vertigo. I was prescribed Gabapentin and was recommended The Cawthorne-Cooksey Exercises. The also sending me for ERG.

I've had similar symptoms (visual disturbances ) after taking cipro, a fluoroquinolone antibiotic.   This was 5 months ago and I'm still suffering with no resolve as of yet.  My symptoms include tinnitus, numbness, timgling, blood shot eyes, dry eyes, after images  and many many floaters.  My Pcp believes it is a reaction to the quinolone as he has seen it before and all other tests including Lyme and MRI have come back negative.

Nothing that I've ever read about or seen in a patient. Given how quickly the anesthetic clears out of the system it seems unlikely.
