This is a continuation of our “2WW Buddies Will Get Lucky” thread series. In our last two threads we had 2 BFPs and we hope for many more in this one. The posts on this thread series have been so very supportive and encouraging...and I would like to thank you all for it.

Obviously I'm thrilled to be on the jackpot winners list from the last thread, but I'm sad to no longer be here with you all!  Thanks again to everyone for all of their kind words.  I FINALLY got my BFP on a FRER today at 15 dpiui.  It was VERY light, but undeniable.  However, yesterday I started spotting which has been extremely nerve racking, but the longer it stays just spotting, the better I feel.  Plus the BFP made me feel much better.  I probably would've been pretty pessimistic today if I didn't get that positive result.  Just gotta wait to get my tests tomorrow to see how much my numbers rose.  Go baby! Go baby!  You can do it!  Hang in there!  :o)  I'll let ya all know what they say.

Hey ladies! So glad to see a new thread started! The last one was getting long! So, today is 6dpiui for me and i'm starting to get worried. I've been having cramping for a few days now, but they don't feel like af cramps at all. I don't get af cramps until 3 days until i start. Has anyone had cramping like this after an iui?

I did have some cramping after my iui. Definitely for the first week and my ovaries were tender.  I'm not sure if you also did injections and an HCG shot?  

Today I am 13dpiui and the cramping has for the most part gone. I am doing a pregnancy (blood) test tomorrow.  My body is very "quiet" today.  Not a lot of cramping, or aching.  I had some mild cramping a couple of days ago but that has for the most part gone.  I feel a bit bloated but hardly anything at all.  My bbs are sore, but they have been for a while now.  I'm not sure if these are good signs or bad signs!?!?

Good luck tomorrow! I did clomid 50 mg/hcg trigger/iui. (first time) I usually get af cramps a couple days before my period gets here. Since 1dpiui, my ovaries have had like pinching pains, now i have those along with what feels like very light af cramps. My bbs have been very sore, and have had a lot of cm. That's probably b/c of the progesterone suppositories. I've been taking those since 2dpiui. Do you know what kind of side effects those have? I guess cramping is normal after an iui? It must be the shot or something making me do that because i never have pain in my ovaries after ovulation, and i never have cramping until a few days before af gets here. Hopefully these are good signs, and this will be our month! How did the hcg shot make you feel? Good luck tomorrow and please let me know how everything goes! God bless!

Got my AF today...there goes the 3rd unsuccessful cycle of Femara/IUI when everything looked just perfect. Dont know what to do to get it right. RE wants me to stay on the same protocol for 2 more cycles before doing a diagnostic lap....

well, AF is officially 1 day late so that's another promising sign. I'm getting another beta hcg test done sometimes tonight while I'm at work. I'll post the results as soon as i find something out. If they go up then I'm going to assume it's a pregnancy. If it stays the same or is lower then I'm going to the doctor to inquire as to why it would be at a 4 for a non pregnant female. Keep your fingers crossed for me!! Thanks for all your support.

G_S: sorry about AF. I know that's the last thing you want to see right now. you're in my thoughts and prayers.

I'm so sorry that AF turned up - she sucks so much :(  Don't forget that we're all in this together and that means that we're here for you too when those damn AFs or BFNs decide to show up. Try and keep positive and let's hope she stays away next time. Hugs.


I haven't been in touch for a while - sorry...things have been manic here...bear with me and I'll soon catch up with you and find out what stage you're all at (although a quick glance at G_S's fantastic, regular updates keeps me in the picture generally!).

I should have my 4th IUI in the next few days - although I was monitored this morning and my damn follies are being a bit lazy this cycle...so onto double dosage (Gonal-f) tonight...back for monitoring on Wednesday to see if they've decided to wake up (maybe they think they should only turn into nice little eggs when it's Easter....!).

well, beta hCG revealed that i dropped from a 4 down to 3. so i'm assuming that there's no baby in tow this time around. i've been at this baby making for over a year now with no promising results. i've continued to keep an upbeat attitude through all of this but now i'm just starting to get pissed off.

for those of you that are currently taking clomid, does your insurance cover that or do you have to pay out of pocket? i don't think my insurance covers fertility so i'm probably going to end up paying out of pocket if i want to try it. is it very expensive? any info would be very helpful. thanks!

BTW - I too was so down after my last, 3rd, unsuccessful IUI - I was so so hopeful...and then when AF came I knew that although we would go ahead and do another and then even a 6th, that you have to start considering other options (IVF for us I think)...and although you have to stay hopeful, you just think WHY WON'T IT WORK FOR ME....and you keep putting your body through this, only to have your hopes dashed YET AGAIN. Yes, I can understand why you just think 'What am I doing wrong?'...because I'm going through the very same thing. Hang in there - we WILL get lucky - have faith in the title of YOUR fantastic thread! ;)

G_S - so sorry to hear that AF made her appearance.  :(  It seems a little strange that they want to keep you on the same protocol after 3 unsuccessful IUIs?  Although if everything is looking perfect maybe it is just time.  I have heard that it is a 20-25% chance per cycle when all goes well so trying 4-6 times makes sense when you look at it that way.  Good luck this next cycle. It will happen.

As for me, I had my blood test this morning and am just waiting for the phone call.  So much waiting in this whole process.  I'll update the thread once I find out.  Expecting a BFN....but hoping for BFP! :)

I took Clomid for the last 4 or 5 cycles and two before that last year. My insurance does not cover it, but it isn't very expensive... I use the generic brand called Clomiphene... I think. It's about $13-$14 for one month. Good luck!
