Could I have LPR?

Hi,
I'm a singer with voice issues. I've been to an ENT and he scoped my voice and said everything looks fine. A little more mucus than usual though. I have trouble with a slightly scratchy sound, voice breaking and inability to sing higher notes.

My symptoms are:
- Post nasal drip
- Weak voice
- Voice feels coated in gunk every now and then

I don't have a cough and the ENT didn't really see any redness. I am allergic to dust mites but I have taken measures to eliminate exposure it shouldn't be a problem.

Could this be lpr?

U may not have ALL the symptoms in order to get a DX of it...we are all different in how we may  experience these issues.

Have u been gaining weight with the dietary intake change?

We can have a flare up of these symptoms with ne weight change be it a gain or loss....

Stress can also add to a flare up.....

The Allergies could be just outside influenced, like mold with the time of yr....or just being indoors.... but something to look into, may not have ne affect on u....

I know my sinuses react to weather and season changes so at certain times of the yr I have more drainage then others....right now I have more then I did  in the summer.

And my voice is affected by it....

Hm, hard to say. I'm currently not eating wheat or dairy at all. I do eat whey protein but I've been eating that for years why would it cause problems now?

Even the dust mite thing is weird because nothing changed when my problems started, I slept in the same bed as before. Actually what changed when my problems was I started eating a lot more food consistently.

But at the same time all my problems don't fit with LPR I don't have a cough, but there is a lot of gunk buildup on the voice sometimes.

Hmmm wonder if u have more allergies then u r aware of......mayb a food allergy or something u use daily?

I also take an antihistamine daily, b5 bed each night....when the weather makes me worse I take a daily dose that is a non drowsey formula...and for my reflux I take H2 blockers which is a histamine blocker.....

I am not a fan of the nasal sprays unless I am completely blocked and then I prefer a saline spray....but prefer not to...lol...

My grandmother swore on gargling with salt water....

Hi,
Thanks, I have been taking antihistamine and a nasal cortisone spray but it doesn't really seem to do much to be honest...

BTW I also started having problems the same time I increased my caloric intake months ago (for training reasons). I can also look in my larynx with a mirror and see some sticky mucus, some on the folds but also sticky mucus on the surrounding tissues.
