Bloody mucous in stool

Hello everyone

For the past week or so I have become very constipated although I am taking a lot of fibre.  For the past 2days I notice that I was passing a bloody mucous in my stool and I have an a sharp pain on my right side along my waist area for the past few days a well.  I feel really bloated and I am passing a lot of wind.  Last month I was diagnose with a hydrosalpinx.  Could the bloody mucous be as a result of this condition.  I am really scared.  Going to see the doc in a few days time.

About bloating/wind:
Avoid sugary foods: table sugar, sweets (glucose), sugary fruits (fructose), beer (maltose), alcohol, potatoes (starch).
Also consider, if you really need a lot of fibers. Raw vegetables may bloat you a lot.

Belching (burping) is often from H.pylori infection of the stomach, so you might want to visit a gastroenterologist and have a breath test for H. pylori.

All this will nod help with bleeding, and will not cure your original disease, but may really help ease annoying bloating.

Try to get info about how long you are supposed to wait for surgery.

Thank you so much boron....  I really appreciate your concern.  I'm not sure when my surgery will be,  I am actually on a waiting list.  I was told that I will receive a letter or call from the hospital in about a week's time to confirm date of surgery.  Went off yesterday and today and there were not traces of blood in stool but I am still having the pain in my side and I am passing wind and bleching pretty often.  Do you have any more suggestions?

Bleeding is not from constipation, common. About water, just in case you drink it a lot - you don't need to drink it so much that it wakes you at night to go to the toilet.

Bleeding may come and go...as you see, but the cause persists. When is your surgery scheduled?

26 is not the age for colorectal cancer. But it may be inflammation or anything. No need to be scared of colonoscopy.

I did ask about the blood in stool and he suggested that it can be result of be being constipated.  He told me to gave it a few days.....so I trying to consume as much fibre as I can and I am drinking tons of water.  Went off yesterday and there were no traces of blood in stool. Well at least I haven't seen any.  Looking to see what happens today.  To be quite honest I am pretty scared.

It may be a cyst, but this doesn't explain intestinal bleeding, so it may be something additional or something other. Colonoscopy was also discussed?

Went to the doctor and was told that he's putting question mark to the hydrosalpinx.  He suggest I have a surgery done to see what's taking so I'm actually on a waiting list. He also suggested that it can be a cyst. Anyways I'm 26yrs old.

Both the cause of hydrosalpinx and intestinal bleeding (the later with colonoscopy) should be found. It may be cancer to tell you openly.

Bloody mucus most probably comes from the ascending colon or the last part of small intesine, due to inflammation from some cause. It is possible, but not necessary, that this is connected with hydrosalpinx.

How old are you?
