CHRONIC NAUSEA

I have suffered from chronic nausea since I was 9 years old. I am now 24. Since that age I have developed an intense fear of vommitting. I have been to 3 different GI physicians and have had x-rays, cts, mri of my abdomen and of my brain, an upper gi small bowel follow through, gastric emptying, and insidently my gall bladder was not working so I had that removed in 08'. My symptoms never stopped and it is all the time. Ive lost all my friends because I dont feel like leaving home feeling sick. I have been seeing a psyciatrist because now the doctors think it is just anxiety and depression and have been put on SOO many medications (not all at once) for anxiety AND depression with no help . I was never a depressed person and inside I dont feel that I am but Ive also had to quit a job and even lost my fiance in this fight because he felt helpless :-( . Is there any suggestions? Anything i can do other than take anti-nausea meds?I am allergic to compazine so i take zofran 8mg qid. This is ruining my life!

Thank you so much for commenting I was feeling like no one saw my post! I looked up chronic fatigue syndrome and I'm not sure if I qualify..see..my main problem is that I have a "yucky" like im going to throw up feeling in my stomach all the time all day. I am very fatigued at this point, however, because I am starting to lose hope. My doctors all think it is stress and anxiety related and I was taking Ativan which helps to the point where I actually can work but she wants me to stop taking it because it is apparently very addicting. Every antidepressant I try seems to magnify my nausea even more and I cant keep anything down. The only one that works like a miracle...WHILE IT WORKS  is Remeron but after a few days or weeks it sadly looses the effect and I'm right back where I was. I recently bought PSI bands which use accupressure around the wrist to help but I have only had them for a few days not sure how they will work.I feel like I have tried everything and every doctor I see just DOESNT GET IT! or they just dont know. I REALLY appriciate your post again!!!!! im glad someone is reading it.....

It sounds like CHRONIC FATIGUE SYNDROME. Go ahead and look into it, and see if that sounds right. Unfortunately from what I've read, They don't really have a cure for it. And in alot of cases, people go see psyciatrists for this ailment, simply b/c it gets put off as just being depression! Which I strongly object to. I'm getting tested for it soon, and although it CAUSES depression, (I mean, my god! look at how we have to live...or don't rather! any normal person with symptoms like that, would be depressed!!!). But I take wellbutrin, which is an antidepressant, and sorry to say....it's not helping with my cfs symptoms! I know that this is really tough to deal with, and I really hope that they'll get funding for the research soon!
