H. pylori + polyps in the gallbladder

I'm a 25 year old female. Since one year ago, I started to have stomach pain after eating, I used to drink a tea and the pain was gone. About 6 months ago I also started to have skin problems and my eyes got red and dry, the doctors told me is just acne and that my eyes are dry but the creams for the skin and drops didnt work during the last 6 months... 2 months ago the pain in the stomach got really intolerable, so I went to the doctor and after an ultrasound they found polyps in the gallbladder. Then, I was asked to have an upper endoscopy and a blood test. The results were that I have 3 polys in the gallbladder one of them has 8mm, my blood results showed that my liver and pancreas work normal and the upper endoscopy showed that I have H. pylori.
The recommendations of the doctor were that for the polyps I should go on a control in 3 months because if the polyp grow to 10mm they would prefer to remove my gallbladder and about the H. pylori I will have a 7 days triple antibiotic therapy (Omeprazole, Amoxicillin and Clarithromycin). In 8 weeks they want to make me a breath test to see if the bactery is gone.
But in the last hours I have thought about many things and have some questions:

1. Is there any relation between the H. Pylori and the polyps found in my gallbladder?
2. Is there any relation between the H. Pylori and my skin problems? (My skin looks red in the cheeks and around the nose... also looks dry ad sometimes with acne)
3. Is there any relation between the H. Pylori and my eyes discomfort?
4. What kind of serious secondary effects I could have after taking the medicaments, could this affect any other organ?
5. How fast grow the polyps?
6. Can the polyps disappear by themselves?
7. Should I accept to remove my gallbladder in case that the polyp is 1cm?
8. Could I get the H. pylori again?
9. Would I have a normal life without the gallbladder?
10. If my skin problems are not related what kind of test should I make to find out the problem?
11. Something important I should know or consider that the doctor didn't tell me?

Thank you for your time
Ana

I was also diagnosed with H.Pylori and am currently taking PREVPAC (triple ABX therapy). I am scheduled for the breath test to test for H.Pylori next month. I also had an ultrasound with results of a 4mm gallbladder polyp. My doctor advised me that the polyp is not of significant concern unless it grows > 8mm. With that in mind, try not to worry so much... I'm trying not to let it get to me. We'll see how the breath test goes. Will keep you posted.
I also had a brain MRI with results: "2 mm focus of nonspecific mild increased T2 hypersensitivity in the high left frontal lobe, with differential given above." Can anyone help me interpret these results? I have a history of migraines and have recently had an increased in severity and frequency, tinnitus, and burning sensations of my fingertips, which is why the brain MRI was ordered. Please help... I'm concerned about my migraines.

There is no known relationship between H. pylori and the polyps. The polyps will not disappear by themselves. Polyps in any portion of the GI tract are a general 'warning' sign, and should be removed. Since the only way the polyps can be reached in the GB is via GB removal, that surgery should be done. The older recommendation was to wait to see if they grow, the newer recommendation is to have the GB removed.

Anyone can get H. pylori again.

You may want to consider maintaining a low fat diet after GB surgery to insure you properly digest fats and low the possibility of any form of post-GB-removal problems.

Not sure if the skin problems are related to either the GB or the H. pylori, but wouldn't be surprised in the case of H. pylori. Stranger things have happened. Anytime the GI system is perturbed it can affect the skin and other organs.
