Having Excessive Intestinal Gas

For the last 11 months or so i have been suffering from loud intestinal noises and excessive gas. I went to to a GI dr. and he made me take a lactose and fructose breath test both coming back negative. I then was put on Amoxicillin for bacteria overgrowth which seemed to work orginally but then weakened over time. After that i had an upper endoscopy and nothing seemed to be evident. This has been killing me in college as well as the workplace. Does anyone have any suggestions to what this maybe? Thank you.

I would recommend asking your doctor about small intestinal bacteria overgrowth, because it can definitely come bacak once the antibiotics are stopped.  If you would like to talk in private about your problem, you are welcome to send me a private message, or we can just continue to chat here.

Welcome to the gastroenterology community!  I would recommend you try a 100% lactose free diet for 2 weeks even though the breath test came back negative.  Were you ever evaluated for small intestinal bacteria overgrowth?
