Oh ok I thought you meant he tested for H pylori and it was positive and he said you did not need treatment.

I am not familiar with the IGA test so what did he say the positive was for?

Its positive in IGA and negative in IGB

Maybe thats why they say its not H plyori

The dr  that said that H Pylori is fine is not right. Every dr I have been to has treated the H pylori since it a bacteria that can cause problems such as ulcer and stomach cancer later on .

The dr that suggested endoscopy probably wants to see if you have any ulcers from the H pylori.  That is not a bad idea.

There are many diffferent treatments for this and a lot of them involve using 3 drugs.  You are taking
Omeprazole
Pantaprozole for 2 weeks

These are both the same so I am not sure why you need both.

Many take clarithromycin and amoxicillin as the first line of treatment and some  replace amoxicillin with metronidazole for people who are allergic to penicillin.

For the treatment of clarithromycin-resistant strains of H. pylori the use of levofloxacin as part of the therapy has been suggested.

I would find out which combination the drs want you to take.

Its hard to tell since people can have more than one thing going on.  The GI will probably start you on a round of antibiotics and PPI for the Hpylori.  The H Pylori can cause burning pain which you stated you have.  Remember to keep taking the probiotic while on these antibiotics so you do not get more yeast or Cdiff.

He may want to still do a colonoscopy to look for colitis or other abnomalities with your colon and the hida scan if you are having pain on the right side.   You seem to be getting the appropriate tests so do not worry.  They can help you.  The hida and colonoscopy are not bad so if he suggests it then do not be scared since it can help you. I have had 2 hidas and tons of endoscopys and colonoscopys and never had much of a problem with them.

I tried to message last night but it locked up and lost my post.  The esr is a little high which could mean some inflammation.  Inflammation can  also increase WBC.   I would now look into getting a hida scan and colonoscopy to rule out gall bladder disease or inflammation in your colon.  I know they are tests you do not want but thats the only way to find out.
