IBS or more?

A few months ago, I went in for what I was told was the stomach flu (no diarrhea or vomiting, just nausea and lots of stomach pain). Afterwards I started getting a lot of heartburn in the upper center of my chest and also on the left side under my ribs, up to my under arm, and around to my back (like an upside-down T). I was also having a bit of stomach pain, but my main concern was that I was feeling dizzy and lightheaded a lot..I went in to the doctor and they said they thought I had GERD so I went on Prilosec. A few weeks later I went into the ER because I woke up with my heart rate really high, lots of pain in my stomach and chest. They did an EKG, chest X ray, thyroid test, and general blood work. All came back normal. I was put on Nexium and Reglan. After 4 days of Reglan I stopped because I felt horrible all the time and my blood pressure dropped by 40 points in those 4 days. A little later I went to the stomach doctor and they thought I had IBS but still did a gastroscopy, ultra sound on my abdomen, and colonoscopy. They said I had slight diverticulitis, but that was it. Everything else looked fine. They said my biopsy came back with some suspicion so I had a celiac test done. It was negative. Today after all these tests I get spasms in what feels like my stomach or esophagus whenever I lean forward or lay a certain way. It feels like a bubble is bursting. I test my pulse a bit because it always feels like my heart rate skipped, but it's always steady. I feel like there's something in my throat like mucus that I can never get out and it sometimes feels harder to breath whenever I stand up after sitting for a while. I decided to go on a gluten free diet and found that I do not get as dizzy anymore and the stomach pain isn't as often. I still have the same upside down T shape of pain on my left side. I am a 26 yr old female and I had my gallbladder taken out in 2009. I hate always feeling like my insides are shaking and the odd feelings when I stand up plus the pain on my left side. I have gone to many doctors over the course of a few months and I never seem to get anything. Any ideas would be helpful. Thank you.

Thank you for the reply. I did have an ultrasound done and it came back normal. The only thing that's bothering me still is what I've mentioned earlier with the feeling of something in my throat when I stand up. I can sometimes feel my heart beat and sometimes it feels like my throat is tightening. I should note that the gastroscopy was normal and I do not have low blood pressure.

Hi, thanks for your query. You have got your gall bladder removed in 2009, and you are having this symptoms, sometimes there could be an absess near your liver which could cause the pain in your left shoulder please try to
get a ultra sound abdomen done and if it's abnormal meet with a surgeon and he would either start you on a antibiotic course or further medication depending upon the ultra sound finding.
Wish you good health
