Inflamed Anus, Help Please.

I have had an inflamed anus for about a week and i wanted to know what i should do for it. I am 18, male, and relatively healthy.

There really haven't been any symptoms other than light poking pain for the first two days. And currently there is no pain, although it is slightly sensitive (especially when wiping after going to the restroom).

I have also included a picture of the effected area.

Thanks for anyone that is able to answer this one. This his been an taboo issue for me and you have helped greatly.

You may be getting the starting of hemoroids in addition to the irriation. my husband has extra hair there and it irritates the skin like that and the way he handles it per dr's orders is baby wipes gentle ones after each bowel move keeping it clean and dry is most important as wetness can irritate it further. Also he uses hydrocortizone suppositories (Anusol) prescribed by his dr when it is really inflammed. Also The Tucks wipes with witch Hazel works great with soothing cooling and comforting down there. just let it set in on the site a few minutes to take effect and then remove and flush as they are safe for septics. It may also help to trim the hair a little shorter with help and not shaved as that will irritate things but just trimming things shorter will cut down on so much to irriate the skin, applying baby rash ointment for rashes will also help during the times you are not in the restroom like at work... nystatin cream is the best prescription and will clear things up pretty fast. oh and FYI the dr is very tactful about these situations and you shouldnt feel embarressed because he will most likely not even require you to show him just talking will usually cover it if you take a list of what ive given you to ask for. take the picture if that worries you and then that will really help.if you do all this it should only take a few days to clear up and you be back to normal. remember tho do not shave!!! only trim with scissors carefully with the mirror if you dont have someone to do it for you. I do the hubby for him and he doesnt mind :)
I wish you a speedy recovery!!!

The best thing for yeast overgrowth (google it ) infection is to take a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar every day. Put it in some grape juice.
It may still be hard to drink, it tastes aweful.
If it does not cure this it will be good for your health anyway.
Then, too, to keep the area dry.
You may also want to switch to more expensive toilet paper, you may be sensitve to the one you are using.
I guess you could always try something like "butt cream"  that they use for babies diaper rash.
Hope it helps,

I just wanted to add a few things i left out:

On the picture the area that is effected is the left to bottom left part of the anus.

Another thing i forgot to mention is that i am not sexually active.

Fell free to ask me any questions about stuff i may have left out.
and again thanks for your help,
