I'll try to make this as short as possible. Before I pass gas or have a bowel movement, my left arm and shoulder go weak and numb. At times it spreads up my neck and down my left side. I've had several test done, colonoscopy, ultra sound, upper gi scope (?), several blood test when I went to the ER thinking I was having a heart attack, and was diagnosed with esophogitis, gastritis, and a fatty liver. My Vitamin d is very low even after taking 50000iu for 3 weeks. I cannot take any kind of ant-acids, eat any kind of fruits or nuts, except bananas or applesauce, any type of fibrous foods (ie,popcorn, beans, or any type of corn). If I do, I get what I call an attack. My blood pressure also goes up pretty high. about177/108. In the ER I was told I had anxiety. And the same by my gp. I was given lorazepam and anti depressants, I also take half a norco in morning and half at night for pain. Meds do not stop attacks if I eat certain foods or take certain meds. Not sure what the connection between the arm/shoulder and bowel movement are. Its getting worse and I'm getting scared. Can't eat or sleep because of gastritis, but cant use the meds. No one seems to have an answer. I'm female, 47, hysterectomy 3yrs ago (kept ovaries), 5'1" 175lbs Used to be pretty active.
