Yes, cutting back on bread appears most likely thing l need to do though l really like a good slice of wholewheat bread..!
Most annoying.
It's possible the bread might be the cause, although you're supposed to be able to eat bread to a limited extent. You may want to cut back and see if it makes a difference.
Yes, l am trying to follow my surgeon's recommendations, ie to basically follow the Atkins diet..
And trying to reduce foods high in digestible carbohydrates (e.g. bread, pasta) and replace with foods containing a higher percentage of proteins and fats (e.g., meat, soy products) and often other foods low in carbohydrates (e.g., green leafy vegetables).
I have good protein intake and eat lots of the green leafy vegetables too.
Am wondering if problem issue is bread which l have (2 x pieces) for breakfast and (often) at lunchtime in a sandwich.. but could this deviation from Atkins be "cause" of all my grief?
Also, looking at some earlier posts in this forum l wonder if it is good / bad to take additional added fibre as l like to have wholewheat WeetBix cereal each morning and this is very high in fibre.
MMh, is very difficult to know exactly what dietary regime is optimal as we must always be aware of malabsorption issue and make sure we maintain nutrition..
All / any additional support / feedback is much appreciated..
Are you following the prescribed diet for post-BPD? That can play a very big role in problems such as the one you're experiencing.
