Miserable and tired of Doctors not believing me.

I am diabetic and have been diagnosed 3 times, with 3 different diagnoses and still have no relief from the constant diarrhea,or then constipation, bloating after meals, gas and abdominal pain. If I eat during the day and then go to sleep my swollen stomach (which a lot of times is swollen as far as it can go) seems to have flatted back out, but then I eat something and begin bloating again. I have nerve damage, Kidney Disease Stage 3, constant UTIs, and uncontrolled BG. I am waiting on my pump and CGM. I can not stand to go to another  GI doc for this because they just assume a diagnosis and do not really test me for anything but the norm. I just do not know what to do, this has destroyed my life. I can never seem to leave home. Also I have constant dizzy spells, I have fainted a few times, I have lost about 13 pounds recently from being sic, and have been constantly sick with this for about 6 or 7 years! HELP!

John Hopkins Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland, says there are more than 25 digestive disorders, and many have similar symthoms. There is  a federal website  produced by the National Institutes of Health that supplies a ton of information on digestive and kidney diseases. When you arrive at the webpage, select the link on digestion, and you will find a listing of all digestive disorders and diseases from A to Z. Surely everything you need to learn about your digestion is listed here for you to read. On the first page as you arrive at the website, to your left on the webpage are blue bars with reference to kidney diseases just like for digestive diseases. I would bookmart this website/ page or add to a toolbar so you can return whenever. Go to http://digestive.niddk.nih.gov.

Good luck.

Have you considered lyme disease?  Lyme can cause the GI issues and back pain...the bloating can be from yeast in your guy, which often happens with lyme.

Check out symptoms at www.canlyme.com/patsymptoms.html

If you have more than 20, suspect lyme and co-infections.  Get to an LLMD (Lyme Literate MD) trained by ILADS.  also check out flash.lymnet.org
