Re-occuring Abdominal Ache

Hi,

For at least a year, if not more, I have been experiencing the same type of stomach/ or intestinal (unsure, i think intestinal), in any case abdominal aches. The first couple times it happened the discomfort and pain was unbearable, just really nasty. After the first wave, even when the discomfort and on-and-off naseau is generally gone, there is some kind of weight or pressure on the lower right hand side of my abdomin, i guess its inflamation. This whole thing usually lasts about 4 days, the first day/night and maybe next morning and afternoon being the worst. It feels just really gassy or maybe spasmatic in the center of of my stomach and maybe all over the place at times, but the pain and concentration of the discomfort is around the lower right hand side. Now I know that this is a sign for appendicitis but the touch and quick release test doesnt really cause extreme pain. When this happens I do not have diarhea but rather it seems i dont really go to the bathroom all that well the first day or two at all, if i do its more like constipation. I try to burp and you know what, and I also already can tell when this stomach ache is going to start so I usually take enzymes and antispasmadic (like intesol) and some probiotics and i think it helps maybe ease it. I am thinking if whether or not it can be that I am lactose intolerant but i never had problems with milk as a child even though i stopped drinking milk as i got older (23 years old now/male). I really dont know what this is. I dont even have other kinds of stomach aches really like I used to when i was a kid, I just get these same symptoms every time. This happens maybe every few weeks to a month, month to two months in between. Im just getting tired of it, it comes out of nowhere and makes me feel really terrible and then i know i'll be in discomfort for days ahead. I'd appreciate some help.

It sounds like you are constipated.  You might try MiraLax, which is now offered over the counter.  It's a powder you mix with a beverage.  It really has no taste; I mix it into juice.  I'd recommend taking it in the evening and then you'll probably have relief in the morning.

I had pain in my lower right side and it was Chrons.  Find a good Gastro doc and go to him.  I finally had bowel resection, which I tried to avoid, and am doing great.  Also, I had diareha for about 7 years and a few bouts of what I thought was the flu with chills.  I know now that it was the chrons.
There is help.
