Should I eat after 4 week's no bowel movement

Good morning the emergency doctor that I say last week,suggest to me to eat whole wheat pasta, and bread ,porridge, is it a good thing or what any advice.pogo ps: I just wrote above my story.

My first thought was an infection - diverticulitis could cause bleeding and bloating, so this sounds as possible cause.

You'll probably need colonoscopy.

I'm a women 48 1/2[ lost 12 lb] since February 28 2008,I't started when I was in Florida,one morning I got up from bed and I was bloated like a balloon,a bit of pain in the belly,it lasted for 3 day's.Then it went down.In between that I was constipated,and for 2 day's 1/2 I filled up the toilet bowl of blood but it was clear blood. Then I got really sick I had   a bad cold,so whent to the Doctor and prescribe me some caugh sirop,with codein I took it for 2 day's,then I stop.After that I decide to take stool softer and I took that till I came back to Ottawa Canada.Back to the Airport I had a hurge to to the bathroom,I did a loose stool,and that was the last time I have went.I belly was getting swollen pain but no cramp it's hard to tell you what kind of pain it is,then started to have headaches,nausea,belly aches on and on,And from this day it's still the same I went to the emergency clinic and they said I was completly full and I would need to drink a oral fleet,but that did not do anything.When to see my family DR and prescribe to me some Lactulose it's natural laxatif.that did not work at all.The next day I took myself a rectal fleet,it did not work,then the next day I tried again still nothing,So that where I decide to go to Hospital they had said they never saw or heard about that.So they give me rectal fleet,it work a bit not much and I was still full cause they took EX-RAY.So he called one of is collegue and said to send me to a CT-SCAN,from there he give antibiotic for 10 day's just in case of a bacteria.CT-SCAN did not show anything.In between all that the Dr said you may start to eat whole wheat pasta and bread, I did that for 3 day's but after that my pain got so bad  so I stop eating So I'm going to se a Gastroentologist tomorrow April 17 Mean while I'm still nauseated have back aches,headaches,The dr put me on [ensure] to drink 3 time's a day but now I can not take it anymore it make's me gag,so I drink a bit of water.Carmelle[pogo514]

What prevents you to have bowel movement? You can't expell the stool out, or you even don't feel that stol is in the rectum?

Are you woman/man, age, overweight(?), how long these problems last?

Yes there was I had a fleet enema, an very little work then I had EX-RAY done they said that I was quite full.They say possible diverticulosis will put u on antibiotic for 10 day's.Then they said me for CT-SCAN then went back and se him told me there was nothing there except a stone on my left kidney that's it.He referred me to a gastroentologist I'm going there next Thursday,I have beeing eating whole wheat pasta,and bread,jello,pupsicle,juice ,and water,I still have to wait for my appointment.But I havent' went for a bowel movement yet.I started to eat April 8 still nothing I have back pain, belly pain,headaches,nausea.pogo
