Stomach noises

When I go to bed, if I lay on my left side my stomach will make really loud noises like I'm hungry.  It's so loud that it wakes my wife.  If I turn onto my back or right side the noises stop.  There's no pain associated with it or gas.  I've tried eating before bed and not eating before bed and nothing changes.  What could cause this?

I lay on my left side and my back, I get hungry.  I'm fine on my right side.  It's weird, but it's been happening over 10 years now.  I'm glad someone else have these symptoms because people think that I'm crazy when I say these things happen.

I have the very same issue, but also have digestive noises during the day, after meals. Do you share this symptom?

Laying on your left side allows your stomach to "release" air.  It may be that you're hearing your stomach just doing it's job, which can be noisy.  It's nothing to worry about.
