Weird looking stools

Hi, I'm new to this forum and I need some feedback. I have been having bad upper stomach and mid chest pains for about 2 and a half weeks, which is coming from the pancreatitis diagnoses i got a couple or 3 years ago. The last couple of bowel movements I had looked weird. They looked like a whole lot of pieces glued together, really ragged,  not smooth as they normally are. Does anybody know if that's a normal part of pancreatits?

Howdy! I have been suspected of having chronic pancreatitis. My stools look like hand grenades (the "pineapple" kind) and I don't go very often. I have to have an endoscopic ultrasound although it has not yet been scheduled. My stomach pain is often unbearable. I have been on a liquid diet for the past month and I am losing weight. The Doctors are moving at a snails pace in helping me as I probably don't scream loud enough. You need to call your Gastroenterologist ASAP! NOW! Don't let this go on forever. You may need some hospital time to get your pancreatitis back under control. It ***** knowing things like this. I have been hospitalized several times since the original pancreatitis diagnosis 2 1/2 years ago. I got it after my gallbladder was removed and the surgeon scattered stones around and nicked my cystic duct and clogged another duct. I had an ERCP and got pancreatitis 2 days later. God bless you and I hope you feel better soon...

Yes, you might need a stool test to see if a fat malabsorption is your problem.

Thanks for the warm welcome. Yes, I have chronic pancreatitis. I've had it for about 2 or 3 years. I have a gastroenterologist that keeps check on  the condition, but you know doctors don't tell you everything about your condition. Many things you have to find out on your own after experiencing it. Thank you for your help, now I understand it a little better.

Welcome to the gastroenterology community!  Do you have chronic pancreatitis?  It can cause poor absoprtion of nutrients and fats which can cause changes in your stool.  I would recommend getting this checked out by your doctor.
