Flat stool is not really characteristic for gallbladder/liver problems, they are actually lose stools which are more common here. Flat stool is simply a sign of constipation from some cause. Intestinal worms could cause this, the other possibility would be bacterial overgrowth in the colon, which could occur if you have diverticulosis.
About floating stools again: it could be also from a lot of ingested fibers, and maybe from lot of (normal) bacteria.
Floating stool in fat malabsorption, as I mentioned it in above post, is foul smelling, sticks to the toilet, greasy, spongy. If it does not have all these characteristics, then it's not from fat. Fat in the stool is called steatorrhea.
Anyway, if above testing won't show nothing, you can also have a x-ray with barium enema which can show diverticulosis. But start with stool tests.
thanks,i will do that.would that cause it to be flat also?
Yellow stool is from the lack of the bile, and floating stool is from excreted fat, which was unabsorbed due to the same lack of the bile. You should have these tests:
1. stool fat test, and stool culture test for parasites (thos black specks may be clumps of bacteria or candida)
2. an ultrasound of liver/gallbladder to find the cause of bile flow obstruction.
