I want to have a colonostomy. I have had chronic constipation for over 40 yrs. also have IBS,  and Hypothyroidism. I am looking for a good surgeon to do this surgery. I have gone to 2 doctors that seem to not want to do anything about this. I can only take so much medication without results. Enough is enough, I need some relief. I have tried all kinds of medication for these problems but it cont. I need a surgeon in the balto and surrounding area.

If you have Hypothyroidism this may well be causing your constipation, or at least contributing to it, and needs to be addressed immediately.

I also have severe constipation and looking forward to do surgery,.  You can search colo-rectum surgeon in Maryland in google.  Now, the laxatives is useless for me.  Are you the same ? My relative resist me to do operation, now, I don't know how to do it.
Presently, I live in calgary, the doctor here not suggest me to do operation as to too much diaherra.  Write me something about yours ?
