Skin itching may be from elevated billirubin (in liver disease) - but in this case blood test would show rised billirubin and rised hepatic enzymes.
Itching may be simply from sweating, but also from lymphoma - this is what I'm concerned from the beginning here.

One patient reported few days ago, that she had constant abdominal pains from statins for cholesterol, and pain went away in two days after dropping the drug. You're also taking simvastatin, right ? I'm not telling you to drop this drug, but if you want to check, if this drug is causing your pain, you should ask a doctor, if he allows to drop it for a while to see.

I'm saying you again - you may have lymphoma. All of your symptoms may be from it (not saying that they are, but it's possible). Sweating, itching, blood in the stool, pain between blades (from eventual enlarged lymph nodes in the chest) are all in lymphoma.

Lymphoma in small intestine would be found from capsular endoscopy - when you swallow a camera, and this could show lymphoma in the intestine. It is not possible to reach small intestine with upper endoscopy or with colonoscopy.

With upper back x-ray - they were maybe looking for enlarged lymph nodes in the chest. For future: always ask a doctor, or radiologist, or nurse for reasons, and for results of any investigations - just there. X-ray image may be explained right after it is done.

You have itchy skin? Yes this may come from co codamol.

Well, do you think, you could be without any pain drug? You can try with paracetamol.
Here are options listed:
http://www.drugs.com/ppa/acetaminophen-n-acetyl-p-aminophenol-apap.html

It's milder than co codamol, and without those side effects

You have to clear out: Were there 14 biopsies or 14 polyps. From what I understand, it was one polyp found, well, ask.

You can make a elimination diet test for celiac disease.

Do not eat anything containing gluten for one whole week. It's a long list of foods to be avoided totally:
http://www.allhealthsite.com/28/chronic-constant-diarrhea/#celiac-disease

After a week have a reach meal with gluten.

So, if during a week with no gluten your soft stool will improve, AND if after gluten meal will become worse again, this speaks for celiac disease. Biopsy of duodenal mucosa (done via upper endoscopy) is needed to confirm diagnosis.

Well, after one week gluten-free diet you can continue with normal fod, so you won't influence the biopsy results.

About talking with the doctor: try to force to get results soon. You can talk about your drugs, if you can drop some, you take them many. You can also ask what are recomended investigations for small intestinal lymphoma.

Food itself can cause mucus only if you are allergic or intolerant to some foods, like milk or gluten, or in food poisoning.

co codamol helps a little bit it ,seems to calm things down  do you think its ok to carry on taking them i mean about 6 a day ,until i get results ,
and do you think going to see doc is a waste of time untill i get results.
havent seen any mucus as yet could food trigger that?

When you'll get results, ask, if some biopsies of colonic mucosa, other than polyps, were taken. It is possible to have any other large intestinal disease together with polyps.

In meantime, you can observe, if anything changed about the mucus discharge, you've mentioned. Mucus was maybe from polyps, but if after a weak or more, mucus will continue, than it's from small intestinal disorder, I guess.

Pain was not from polyps (as you see). Pain is probably from your stomach. Regarding, you're taking co-codamol, it is a bit strange you still feel pain. I hope you'll get results soon, so you can continue with small intestinal testing, if needed. Try to concentrate on work you like, to do what you think is right.

And btw, you don't have IBS. For diagnosis of IBS, ALL other gastrointestinal diseases have to be excluded, and you have two confirmed: gastric reflux and polyps.

You need some days to see what's from procedure and what's from other causes.

14 polyps is a lot yes; this goes with your history of other tumors you've mentioned. You seem to be prone to develope these tumors. 6 weeks ...well, it all depends on the queue in the histologic laboratory. You can't do much about this anyway. They will tell you if polyps are cancerous or not (if polyps were small and doctor said don't wory - then they are probably only benign non-harmless tumors). But remember - you'll need regular colonoscopies for these polyps, by the time plan which doctor will recommend.

Bloating is really not connected with polyps, it should be something else. Bloating is always from bacteria (or yeasts - Candida). Now - you can have small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (tested with a simple BREATH TEST), or Candida overgrowth in colon (STOOL TEST FOR CANDIDA).
OR
you have some type of malabsorption from small intestinal disease (checked with CAPSULE ENDOSCOPY). In malabsorption, unabsorbed nutrients are consumed by bacteris, which then produce gas. Well, you would also have diarrhea in this case. Lymphomas you've mentioned can also be in the small intestine.

If polyps were the main cause of your problems, than the mucus should stop.

What pain? Are you constipated?

Be sure to follow doctor's instructions about the prep, since your bowel has to be clean at the time of investigation. You might feel hungry and then uncofortable after laxatives, but this is no big deal. I guess you discussed with a doctor about drugs you are taking. Aspirin and other antirheumatic drugs, also iron pills, should not be used for at least a weak before the procedure.

Before investigation you'll get a mild sedative, which will make you somewhat drowsy, but you'll be able to speak with a doctor if necessary. Procedure is not painfull and it takes about 30 minutes. After the procedure you probably won't remember a thing (due to sedation). You'll need someone to take you home, since you shouldn't drive that day.

Some small samples of tissue may be taken for further investigation under the microscope. You'll be able to discuss about the findings the same day, and you'll get the final results some days later.

also search for colon prep or colonoscopy

Maybe you have exact questions about what bothers you?

If it is mucus alone, I'd say it's from colon.

If mucus was mixed with the stool, the most probable cause is inflammation in the small or large intestine.

If the stool was pale, foamy and sticky, and if you have eaten some fatty food in last couple of days, then this would be from small intestine. If it was translucent mucus, it's probably from colon. Anyway, you have another reason for investigation.

Mucus alone may appear in internal hemorrhoids, diverticles or polyp.
