Are you really sure you want to be awake during a colonoscopy? Most of the people who wake up accidentally are scarred for life. I was drugged during mine, and I am quite happy about that.

i just had one done was scared to be put out but i can tell you it was awesome, not to be awake and it took 20 mins to do it , they say its very painful to have it done awake so try and be put to sleep its really so much better .

Welcome to the gastroenterology community!  Yes there are doctors out there that will preform a colonoscopy without sedation.  You need to call around and find a doctor willing to do this.
