Well there are different types of Anemia - I think , Symptoms would be tiredness, pale, nausea, .... Google Foods - rich in Iron .....also Ferrimed is quite good.....however too much can make you constipated.... If you overly concerned get a second opinion..
I found out that I'm boarder line anemic in 2007. When my iron is real low I get really bad headaches and I'm super tired, and I bruise real easy. I went to walmart and got a bottle of iron suppliments that I take when I get like this. I also try to eat turkey sandwiches and broccoli. You can look up iron enriched foods that will help and also more symptoms. I hope this helps.
Iron carries oxygen to your cells where it combines with sugar to produce energy. Iron also protects cells from free radical damage, helps with liver detoxification and is needed by neurotransmitter systems that support your brain. Iron deficiency leads to anemia, which is a low hemoglobin.
Low serum ferritin is a sign of iron deficiency If your ferritin is below 20. When the ferritin is above 40 then maintain it with diet and sometimes with supplements. Lean red meat 3X a week may restore healthy iron levels over 2 - 3 months. Other iron-rich foods include leafy green vegetables such as spinach or kale, raisins, prunes, apricots and eggs.
Two supplements Solgar’s Gentle Iron 2 -3 caps a day.
Have your ferritin checked in 2 months. Too much iron is harmful!
