Anal Rash

I've had a bad rash for over a month. It itches, burn, and is painful. I've been to the doctor twice. The first time he put me on Clotrimazole and Betamethasone. It didn't go away only worsened. The second time he put me on Triamcinolone Acetonide Cream. The first night I thought it was better, but to no avail. Still red as fire, burning, itching and it looks like little blisters all over the outside. Help! What's next????

try some cavelon as it acts as a barrier and will stop the itching and burning sensation and should hel the rash fade away what ever you do when you apply this cream is do not itch . this will prevent the cram from working. CAVALON will even have a waterproof barrier if you cdecide to have a shower just make sure you re apply after any contact with water around your rectum to increase chances of getting rid of the rash . good luck hope cavalon works it should do we use it were i work and it has always worked x

Thank you very much for your advice. I am taking Benadryl. The only thing I haven't tried that the doctor suggested is sitz baths. The doctor said the next thing would be to go to a dermatologist and unfortunately my insurance doesn't cover any. I suppose embarrassing as it is my next step will have to be the ER. Take care!

If your anus looks like it has blisters on it, and the medication isn't helping. Take all the meds. put them in a bag and go to the emergency room. Show the doctor that see's you in there what they have given you and tell him/her that it has gotten worse. Ask them to do a swab sample and look and see what type of bacteria is causing your issue. Take a cool shower, do not scratch it and put plain vasoline with a q-tip. Wash your hands with soap and go straight to see someone about that.#1 you don't want whatever it is to spread to other parts of your body,#2 you will make it more itchy and swollen by scratching and rubbing it. If you have ever taken Benadryl and are able medically to take it, you can try that to help with the burning and itching, just long enough to get to a doctors office or emergecy room. I hope this helps! Good Luck! Be Blessed ; )
