CT scan scare

Hi
I recently had a CT scan w/ contrast to determine if I had appendicitis which in fact I did.  I had surgery just a few days ago.  When the surgeon came to discharge me he also noted a "shadow" on my liver when reviewing the CT scan.  For about a month now I have been having pain under my rib cage which I thought was my liver but wasn't sure.   The surgeon wants me to go for a follow-up MRI.  Should I be very worried.

I would try not to worry at this time. He is just checking to make sure all is well. If you are having pain in that area, it is a good idea to find out just what is causing it.

It never pays to worry, that doesn't solve anything, try to stay positive, and tak a wait and see approach.  It appears that your Dr is checking it out and you are in good hands.
