Dr apptmt to Review Lab Results- does this mean something is wrong?

My doctor asked me to make an apptmt to review my recent lab results.  Does this mean something is abnormal/bad with the results?  Would a doctor have you come in to review results if everything was OK?  The labwork I had done was extensive and more difficult to interpret.

First of all, an in-person visit is billable time for your insurance. A telephone call, even if it takes twenty minutes, may not be.

A physician's time is valuable and he/she may simply want to conserve it. In person it is far easier to explain results that may be out of norm and discuss the reasons and possible treatment.

Don't be overly concerned.

Since the labwork was extensive, etc. I think that would be appropriate the physician would be reviewing the results with you.  I don't think it is an indication that it is terrible news.

you're best just waiting til you see him, some docs ring if they find a problem but there might be nothing, good luck
