Heat related symptoms

I have read several commments regarding heat stroke/exhaustion. No one has mentioned swelling. If I exert myself when temps are hot and humidity high, my face and ears swell up. They itch and are bright red. The only thing that seems to help is a steroid shot and prednisone pack. My face and ears will peel almost like a sunburn. Does this happen to anyone out there?

If I sweat during the night I will get itchy. Gold Bond medicated powder helps tremendously. Put it on before you go to bed in areas that you sweat. Neck, chest and even on the insides of your elbows. It does help!

We live in Arkansas. I have been to an allergist and a dermatologist. I think it's a combination of heat and sun. Some theories are this is caused by mercury from vaccinations that I received as a child. Other one is genetics. But the swelling is bizarre

You do not say if this swelling and redness occur when you have been outside in the sun.  If so, it could be an allergic reaction to the sun.  Might want to wear a hat....
If this is happening inside the house on hot days, it could be that you are dehydrated and need to drink more water, gatorade, and stay away from tea and sodas.
Something else that causes red face and swelling is diabetes or gout.  Please see a doctor.

Hope this info was helpful.  Wishing you the best...
